RESUMPTION OF ACTIVITIES

Hey everyone,

As you've no doubt seen, many WA Government COVID-19 restrictions will be eased from this Saturday (6th June) as we enter Phase 3 of lockdown.

Following these developments, the committee has discussed what we can now do - in terms of State and Federal Government obligations, UWA advice, and general cautions around safety. We have concluded the following:

SHORE DIVES: These can now resume. For the next while, we will be taking a list of names and contact details of all participants who turn up on the day to assist with contact tracing should it be required.

BOAT DIVES: These will now resume. We're asking all divers to use common sense, not share equipment, and use the hand sanitizer we will provide on the boat.

GEAR HIRE: We will be renting out tanks, but currently no other gear due to risk of contamination...this may change in the near future though. The shed will be open on Fridays ONLY, for collection. We will circulate an updated volunteer roster shortly - as usual, contact the volunteer the day before at the latest.

GENERAL ADVICE: Anyone (members, non-members, organisers, friends or family) MUST NOT ATTEND if they:

a. have any flu-like symptoms,

b. have been in direct contact with a known case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days,

c. have travelled internationally or have been in direct contact with a known case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days, and/or

d. are at a high risk from a health perspective, including the elderly and those with pre-existing medical heath conditions

• If you, or people you have been in contact with are sick, DO NOT attend club activities and seek medical advice.
