Dear Members!
The UWA Underwater Club's Annual General Meeting (AGM) is coming up on Tuesday 28th of March 2017 - at the UWA Tavern from 6:30pm - meeting starting at 7pm. We will provide snacks for the evening and there will be several door prizes to be won on the night.
The AGM offers a great opportunity to all club members to get involved, contribute some of their ideas and help the club to stay Perth's best and cheapest dive club! How can you do all that? By joining the committee - simply nominate yourself for the position you can see yourself in and enjoy instant fame.
As a current member you may already have an idea how the club is run - we're all volunteers trying to keep things as easy as possible. If you are a new member then we’ll help you through the process and you’ll have the opportunity to meet a great group of people. The wheels don't keep turning without the assistance of our wonderful volunteers and we REALLY appreciate the help.
If you're in, send your expression of interest to myself or any of the current committee members (http://uwauc.org.au/get-in-touch) so that we can be organised on the day. Have a look at the descriptions of the roles attached (and below). This should give you an idea of what's and what is involved. Keep in mind that nobody expects you to know all about the position you're signing up for - present committee members are happy to share their knowledge and provide initial support to make the transition easy for you.
If you can't make the meeting, you can still help us out by assigning a proxy, someone to vote or voice any concerns you may have on your behalf. Please fill out and sign the proxy form and email it back to one of our wonderful committee members (James, Alistair, Tim or Blair).
