September annual tank hydro run

Hello fellow divers!
Here's a chance to get your dive gear ready for summer! The club is getting annual tank testing done and we've secured a good rate. As a club we can get our tanks hydro'd in bulk for $23 each which includes an air fill! The cheapest I've seen in Perth. The workshop we are doing this through is called ScubaCare which is run by a man with decades of dive equipment experience. He also does lots of work for department of fisheries and commercial diving so he knows his stuff better than anyone here in Perth. (Dive shops also send things they can't do themselves to him)

If any of you would like to add tanks onto the bulk run this year,  here's what you will need to do:
- You will need to bring your bottles and $23/tank down to the shed this weekend (11-13th) or the next (18-20th) at the usual shed opening times. As usual, make sure there is a rostered volunteer to meet you.
- Make sure you have current UWAUC membership and that the volunteer has seen your membership sticker (This is a benefit only available to club members)
- If you aren't already a member, you can sign up when you get to the shed!
- If you want to avoid mixups, please write your name onto the tanks.
- If you have a twinset, please please dismantle them. (Bring the bands and isolation valve tho, we should be able to get them filled)

We should get them back tested by the following weekend but rest assured you will get notified when they are ready. Also, if you would like any other gear serviced (regs, bcds, exposure suits), let us know so we can get a quote for you and you can bring those down to the shed too. ScubaCare's rates are VERY competitive and they can do practically any brand/model of dive equipment.

Additionally for those who are keen to learn a little bit of equipment maintenance, we need a couple of volunteers to help service the valves on the club tanks (sunday evening sept 13th). As a volunteer you will get to learn how to service valves and get up to 2 of your own tanks hydro'd for free! It is not difficult at all and will not take long. Contact Phill (https://www.uwauc.org.au/contacts) to register your interest.

Hope to see you all soon!

UWA Underwater Club Committee.
