RIP, Norbert Merscher

Some sad news for older club members.

Norbert passed away last Tuesday, 6th July 2010. He suffered a  heart
attack, and I understood that he passed quickly and without pain.
Efforts to resuscitate him by friends were unsuccessful.

Norbs had been living in the NT since 2007, however he was a very active
member of the UWAUC prior to his move to Darwin, he also regularly spoke
of friends from the club, and the amazing trips that he had been on with
UWUAC.

Could I please ask that you pass this sad news onto your longer terms
members, who may have been friends of Norbert?

For those who knew Norbs, and would like to say goodbye, his funeral
service  is to be held at the Fremantle cemetarys' crematorium chapel on
Monday 19th July at 11.30 am.  The service will alst approximately one
hour, followoing which he will be buried at a gravesite at 12.45 pm. If
anyone would like to send a sympathy card or flowers, his parents

I have spoken with Norbert's mum Hannea in regards to passing on this
sad news.
 

Norbert was a quiet bloke who enjoyed a laugh, who was an active member of the club before he headed off to the NT in 2007 and who will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of getting to know him.
