Learn to take better photos underwater

Are you new to underwater photography? Or have you had a camera for ages, but are still mystified by things like white balance, aperture, shutter speed and ISO? Would you like to learn how to improve your composition?

This fun filled course deals with some fundamental photographic concepts and how they change when you take a camera underwater.

We will look at the care of your camera and how to use the different settings in an evening, dry, warm session and then hit the water the next day for a couple of dives.

Finally we will do some post-processing work on computers for those who wish to get their Level II certification.

Course cost is $170, limit of 4 students. Bookings close Fri 13th August.

Seeing as we are most likely going to conduct the dives in the river, it's essential that you have good buoyancy control so as not to kick up the silt and ruin your photos. You will also need decent thermal protection, expect the water temperature to be around 14ºC.
