Equipment Workshop
Learn how to maintain and repair your dive gear!

We all put together our regs, BCD and tank, turn on the air and jump in the water expecting that the air will be there.
Ever wondered what the first and second stage are doing, and how they work? Ever had to sit on the boat whilst everyone else got a dive because your regs were hissing when they shouldn't? Ever cried a little when you took your own gear to the shops for annual service and received the bill (all that money) with a little bag of used spares?
Then this workshop could be for you. We'll go through the different types of regulator and look at how they work, then look at dismantling, cleaning, and re-assembling regulators, tank valves and BCD inflators. We'll look at how to keep your gear in tip top shape, what to do in the boat if gear fails, and what to carry in your kit "just in case".
Cost is $100 each including lunch, course is limited to 4 people. If there's enough demand we will run another one later. No diving for this one, it's an interesting way to spend a rainy day when it's to yucky outside for diving.
Bookings for this course close Friday, 23rd July.
If you would like to earn your PADI Equipment Specialty certification we can add that on for another $40.
